JC students will take part in Zero Waste Dchools training in the cafeteria to learn the sorting system. On average, this program reduces school trash by 75% and last year JC diverted 3,500 lbs of food scraps from the waste stream into compost! Want to get in on the action? We invite parents to watch our Zero Waste Schools Video and play the "Ready, Set, Sort" game together at home! Also check out the GPS Sustainability page to learn more about the district's initiatives.
